This vanilla bean buttercream frosting is sweet and rich and buttery and is absolutely drenched in smooth vanilla flavor. It makes a great topping for cupcakes and cookies.
Vanilla Bean Buttercream Frosting
1/2 c butter (room temperature)
1 1/4 c (144 g) powdered sugar
1/8 c milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 vanilla bean
1. Place the butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract into a large bowl. Cut open the vanilla bean, scrap out the seeds, and add the seeds to the bowl that contains the other ingredients. Beat everything together until smooth.
